ET-4 Wood Finishing

After lots of hours of wood dust, we’re now working through our 19-step finishing procedure. The results are definitely worth the effort though, here are a few pictures.

Lefty ET-4 Completed

After getting several requests for a left-handed version of the ET-4, I’m happy to say that we recently completed two custom lefty ET-4’s. Instead of just moving the intensity keys to the other side, we mirrored everything about the instrument to keep it equally ergonomic. If you want a lefty ET-4, please let us know.

ET-4 at Rocking Horse Studios

Rocking Horse Studio in Pittsfield New Hampshire has posted a video of their ET-4 (serial number 1-07) being used in a recording session. Very cool!

New ET-4 demo videos

A few new ET-4 videos have shown up on youtube recently. Robert Kilman gives some great demos of his ET-4 serial number 1-05 and shows how to use the [2] intensity key to control the filter cutoff frequency – very cool! Some therevox stickers are in the mail Robert!

Therevox Sessions 2: Vocalise

Mark Calcott multitracks Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise” with the ET-4 and piano accompaniment. Thanks to Adam Michaelczuk at Sturgeon Studio for helping with the recording. For this recording, Mark used both oscillators of the ET-4 set near perfectly in-tune for a slight phasing effect, very cool!
